어제 밤
카카오톡의 맥킨지 얼럼 단체 채팅방에서

아래 메시지를 보고 나도 모르게 탄식이 나왔고 또 충격을 받았다.

서동욱씨를 처음 본 것은
2005년 맥킨지에서 두산 프로젝트를 할 때였다.
MBA를 다녀와서 커다란 두산 프로젝트에 합류하여 옆 팀이었던 서동욱씨는
주니어였던 내 기억으로는
차갑고, 냉정하고, 일 밖에 모르고, 말 한마디 걸기 어려운 분이었다.

전람회의 오랜 팬이었던 나는
그 분이 전람회 얘기를 안좋아한다는 소문을 듣고
결국 말 한마디 걸지 못했다.

멀리서 어디 가셨다, 어디 가셨다는 말만 들었는데
만 50세에 생을 달리할 줄 알았다면
팬이었다고 말 한마디라도 할 것을. 정말 후회된다.

사람의 생명은 유한하다.

서동욱씨,
정말 팬이었습니다.
먼 곳에서는 아프지 않으시길 바랍니다.

삼가 고인의 명복을 빕니다.

투자 철학이 점점 단단해지면서
속칭 여의도 네트워크나 정보가 투자에 도움을 주는 빈도는 낮아지고,
오히려 거시 경제나 주식 시장 전반 또는 최근 트렌드에 대한 소음을 얻는 일만 많아지더라.
굳건한 투자 철학과 적당한 기대 수익률만 가진다면 소음은 투자 성과에 전혀 도움되지 않는다

난 그렇게 관심있게 지켜보는 사람은 아니지만
김현준 더퍼블릭자산운용 대표의 인터뷰 발언인데
이 발언만큼은 공감이 갔다.

나 역시 투자 철학이 공고해지면서
그 외의 이야기는 소음으로 여겨진다.

이 유튜브가 최근에 봤던 유튜브 클립중에서 가장 기억에 남는다.

중요한 것은 나의 주관적인 시각, 나의 마음가짐이라는 것.

진심인데

총 21일이 걸리고
포루투갈에서 싱가포르까지
스페인, 프랑스, 독일, 폴란드, 벨라루스. 러시아, 몽골, 중국, 라오스, 태국, 말레이시아를 거친다고 한다.

살면서 한번 해보고 싶은 여행이다.

정말 harsh한데 사실이다.

총선 결과를 보았을 때에
우리나라 정치에 대한 일말의 미련을 버리고
아 각자도생해야하는구나 느꼈다.

그래서 이번 탄핵 시국에서도
정치인들과 정치 현실이 참으로 한심해서 정치쪽 뉴스는 잘 보지 않는다.

예전 탄핵 사건들과는 내가 달라진 것 같다.

그보다는 내 앞가림이나 제대로 하자는 생각을 한다.
정치인들에게 놀아날 상황이 아니다.

읽다보니 내 나라가 꽤 매력있는 나라였구나 하는 생각이 든다.

태어나고 3년 뒤에 계엄령이 있었고
그리고 나서 44년이 훌쩍 지나 비상계엄이 있었다.

이 때 나는 홍콩 구룡역에서 예전 직장 동료와 맥주를 마시고 있었다.
동료와 이 뉴스를 들었던 때를 평생 잊지못할 것 같다고 서로 말하고
나중에 이 얘기를 안주삼아 또 할 것이라고 하고 헤어졌다.

정말로 그렇다. 잊기 어려운 순간이 될 듯 하다.
